Below are our most frequently asked questions. Please take a look through and if you can't find the answer you're looking for or would like to discuss your project in detail please get in touch.
What area do we cover?
We are based in Newquay and predominantly cover North Cornwall, but we will travel further afield. Get in touch to discuss your project.
Do you offer a free, no obligation quotation?
Of course. We are more than happy to visit your property at a convenient time and quote for the required works. If you don’t own the property and are looking for us to quote on work for a property you are looking at purchasing, this is chargeable with a fixed cost.
Would I be able to view previous construction projects of similar size and requirements?
Yes. We do with this many prospective customers. We pride ourselves building excellent relationships with our customers who are delighted to show you the work we have completed for them.
Are all the photographs on your website of your work?
Absolutely! All photographs document projects Admire Construction have completed.
Do you have references and reviews?
You'll find several snippets of reviews from our clients throughout our website but if you'd like a more in-depth reference we have those available too. Just get in touch and we can send them over to you. If you'd prefer to speak to a previous client we can also arrange that.
Is your price a quote or an estimate?
We can provide either an estimate or a quote depending on your needs.
How long are quotes valid for?
All of our quotes are valid for a limited time period which will be stated on the quote itself. We do not have a set amount of time for all quotes as, particularly at the moment, material prices are fluctuating which will have an impact on that quote.
How are payments handled and dealt with?
Payments are spread over the length of the project. The number of stage payments will depend on each project.
Are you Gas Safe Registered?
All of our contractors are gas safe registered.
Who manages the projects?
All projects undertaken by Admire Construction are managed by us internally.
Can you source all required materials and project manage our required works?
We try to use locally based companies as much as possible to our materials. In some situations we will have to look nationally to find the best quality materials within the projects budget.
I Am looking to have an extension built and need advice on handling the application with the council, can you help guide me as part of your service?
We help all customers throughout the build project. Assisting with material sourcing and working with architects, structural engineers and planning officers.
How long does a typical build take e.g Kitchen Extension/ redo a bathroom?
With every project being different, we work with our customers to create a realistic timeline and work in any way to meet those deadlines.
Do I need planning permission?
Depending on your project you may need to get planning permission. We can give you advice on when you will need to and what the process is.
Can I make changes to the design when the build is in progress?
All projects can change throughout the build process. Working with customers and architects we can adapt the design. There are likely to be cost implications for any changes made.
What's your guarantee period?
During the planning process we will explain what the guarantee is for work on various parts of the build. We do not a set guarantee period for all work.
Do you have your own crew or do you hire subcontractors?
We have a full time core team that comprises of stone masons, joiners, plasterers and multi skilled tradesmen. When we need skills outside of this we use subcontractors who we have worked with previously and built great working relationships with.
How long has Admire Construction been going?
Admire Construction as a firm have been running since 2018.
Do you charge for quotes on work for properties that customers are planning to buy?
We do not charge for quotes on work for properties that you do not yet own.
